Computer Learning Center To Uplift Knowledge In Rural Areas
Sarvodaya Development Finance in a ground breaking initiative tied up with Mithra Innovation a leading software developer in Sri Lanka to teach rural students software programming to rural villages. In this pilot project over 25 students were trained over last 6 months giving them comprehensive knowledge and skills in software development. After the 6 months training program a certificate is awarded to them and employment is guaranteed to all the students completing the program. Here students at Kethsiri Gama, situated 30 km away from Ampara is seen at the computer learning center in Ampara. SDF envisages to increase the size of the program to 100 students in the near future.
